Jamey Osborne
Many people know Jamey from his work as a starter and track Marshall for the Circuit of the Americas racetrack and the F1 Motorsports Series. But when he isn’t working at the track or hosting the Trackside Podcast for Motorsports Marshals, Jamey is helping other people make sense of technology.
Jamey’s superpower is understanding where his audience is coming from, and helping them to make sense of extremely complicated concepts and processes. He started his career as speech teacher and debate coach, but his passion for technology and his ability to explain arcane concepts to the layperson led to a multi-faceted career as an instructional technologist. His work has included serving as an instructional technology leader for large school districts and education service centers in Texas, as well as an instructor and instructional designer for colleges and universities. For several years he was the host of the popular El Paso public access program, Technology Tips, and he currently helps design curriculum and training for Circuit of the Americas and other racetracks around the country.
In addition the Trackside podcast, Jamey is also the long-time host of the public radio program Audiosyncracy on KTEP El Paso. He holds a master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Communications, as well as an Instructional Design Certificate.
